The Blindside
Last night I watched "The Blindside". If you don't know, it's the movie about Michael Oher coming out of the projects and becoming a football star. Sandra Bullock is one of the stars. She is excellent to look at, by the way. But anyway, I thought this movie was awesome and I would recommend it to everyone. If you're thinking, "oh its just another one of those football movies," you're wrong. This movie has a great story. Some parts can be pretty sad, as expected, but the mood lightens with a few comical moments throughout the movie. After watching this movie I have gotten into the mood of wanting to watch a ton of movies. I don't know if that happens to anyone else, but it always happens to me. I have a great program to download movies but I'm really nervous to do it on campus. I might just suck it up one day and go for it. We'll see. Do you all have any good movie recommendations?

College Basketball
This is the first year I have really watched a lot of March Madness. In past years I haven't been too interested or I have been doing other things instead of watching he games. However, this year I have been distracted by the basketball games on a daily basis. There have been a ton of upsets so far this year which is very exciting. Who would have ever thought Kansas would lost in the second round?! On a different note, it's unfortunate Virginia Tech did not make it into the NCAA tournament. This year was the year to do it but we just weren't good enough I suppose. Maybe next year? Even though Tech didn't make it into the NCAA tournament, the NIT games have been very exciting and I am looking forward to the upcoming games. Since Virginia Tech did not make it to the NCAA tournament, Kentucky has become my favorite team in the tournament. I love watching them play; their team is amazing, especially considering that the starting lineup consists of three freshmen, a sophmore, and a junior (I'm pretty sure thats correct). John Wall, their star freshman point guard is RIDICULOUS. I have recently become a fan of his dance; it's extremely simple but it's kind of funny and I like it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, heres a link.

Spring Break v2
I don't know about everyone else, but I loved this past week. The break was just what I needed; it just wasn't long enough. I did a lot of things I was looking forward to. On Monday I went to my high school with a few of my friends to practice with the lacrosse team. We didn't get to play very long but when we did, the team couldn't handle us. We were still much better than everyone else, just like last year. It was lots of fun. I did something I've never done before; I ate 24 boneless wings at Bdubs one night. Talk about filling! I was so proud of myself for defeating the wings but I unfortunately felt extremely bloated afterwards. The best thing about my break was that I wore shorts four or five times throughout the week! I couldn't believe the weather; it made me so happy!
So enough about spring break. I'm kind of excited for this week. The classes and work will be terrible of course but a lot of shows I watch will be coming on. On Tuesday I will watch Lost. I don't know if anyone else on here watches Lost but I haven't enjoyed this season. They haven't been answering questions like they say they're going to be doing and I can hardly remember what happens from week to week. Oh well. I'm excited for things to start rolling. New episodes of South Park begin on Wednesday. South Park is always a solid show to watch. I'm sure they're going to tear up Tiger Woods in one episode. And finally on Thursday, The Office and Archer come on. I always enjoy watching The Office; its a classic. Archer is pretty new but I recommend watching it. A lot of my friends make fun of me for watching it because its a cartoon but they won't even give it a chance! Whatever, its their loss.
Until next time.

Spring Break
This week can't go by fast enough! I am more than ready for spring break! I'm getting through my week better than I expected. I had a sociology test today which was easier than I expected. On Wednesday, I have a test in Greek and Roman Mythology which should not be very difficult. Basically the only thing I'm stressing about this week is writing the rough draft for our first english paper. Julia why did you assign us a paper the week before spring break?!?!?! AHHHH! I hope it won't be so bad once I start writing it, I'm just dreading the starting. I'm trying to get all of my other busy work out of the way before beginning the writing.
So I can't wait to see all of my friends over spring break! We're going to party it up! Actually I have no idea but whatever we do will be lots of fun. I'm planning on going to my high school's lacrosse practices next week (I was on the team in high school) to help out and see my coach. This is really random but I found out tonight that my high school's basketball team won our region tonight and is a number 1 seed in the state tournament. This is a HUGE deal for my school; we have been terrible at basketball for ages. The first games of states is on Friday in a local arena, so I will probably head over there to watch the game. I'm thinking this will be a good start to spring break, especially if they win.
So this was a pretty random post I hope you enjoyed.
