Classes for Spring Semester

For this semester I am taking 16 credit hours. My classes include this english class, the second semester of general chem, the second semester of chem lab, Greek and Roman mythology, foods and nutrition, and intro to sociology. I haven't had a good taste of what each class will be like, but so far each seems like it will be interesting.

Chemistry will probably be my most difficult class this semester but I tend to like most things in chemistry so I think it will be manageable. Greek and Roman mythology is kind of random; I chose it because I needed to fill a requirement, but the Greek myths have always been interesting to me so I am very excited to see what the class will be like. I am excited for foods and nutrition because I am hoping to be a Humans, Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise major. It will be a useful class because I am trying to be a healthier person and with this class I should be able to learn how to do just that. I'm not sure what to think of sociology yet. I have heard both good and bad things about intro sociology classes so I am trying to be optimistic. The workload for these classes will be more than my classes last semester- I will have much more reading to do each week. Typically, I would be upset about reading so much but I will be doing reading for things I actually want to learn about so it will be exciting.

I'm hoping that this semester I will learn lots of new things that are of great interest to me.

  1. Hey Andrew, looks to me that you have a pretty stiff schedule ahead of you. In class you said you are undecided, but have u thought of what career you would like to get into?

  2. Yeah, I'm interested in pharmacy. I'm not positive, of course, but I have been thinking about it and looked into the field. So far it seems like a good deal to me.

  3. Hey Andrew, Don't worry about chemistry too much, it's not that bad, I took it last semester. Who is your teacher? I had Professor Moore, and what really helped me was practice Koofers.

  4. I wish I could take Greek and Roman Mythology... I feel like it's one of those things that everyone should have a base in to be an "educated" person but I feel like I don't know enough... any time you want to talk about it in class, or write about it for one of your assignments....!
