A Little Complaining

Tonight I went to the gym to work out. I left the dorm at about 6:30 and didn't get back to the dorm until about 8:15. Ever since the new year, the McComas gym has been packed and it is extremely frustrating.

My roommate and I started working out about three or four weeks before the start of winter break. It seemed like we could go to the gym at any time of the day and there would be less than twenty to thirty people in the weight room. I knew the new year would bring more people to the weight room but I didn't think it would be to the extent in which it actually is. On multiple occasions my roommate and I have waited fifteen to twenty minutes just to use a bench for one exercise. After that we were fed up by how many people there were so we decided to leave. Although the gym is crowded now, I know in a few more weeks or a month there will only be a fraction of the people there. I'm hoping at least.

On a different note, I'm really nervous about the upcoming tests in basically all of my classes. I have a test in my Greek and Roman Mythology class on Wednesday and I'm not really sure what the test will be like. The teacher gave us a study guide but there is a lot of material that could be on there. That is how it is in almost all of my classes I feel like. They all have a lot of information and the teachers have not made clear what we will be tested on. I think my sociology tests will be very difficult. The class is so boring and it is extremely hard to pay attention. The teacher essentially reads off of power points she has prepared. So boring.

Sorry for all of the complaining. I'll think of something better for next time.

  1. Yeah man I remember every year after the new year it gets that bad. Bad news the past two years it stays that way until close to April then it sizzles out. Good luck on your test though man!

  2. Yeah! What is up with the crowed. Before we left it was like a ghost town in there and now it hard to run around the track and the weigt room seems packed. People really are sticking to their new years resolutions.

  3. You should try War Memorial Gym. Its not as big but it is definately less crowded and twice as convient, or at least for me it is becuase I live in Slusher. I can totally relate to waiting, not on benches but on cardio machines. And you can be on that up o 40min if someone is waiting, so I've done my fair share of waiting for someone to get off.
